Global One’s team includes the professionals at Nelson Management Group, Ltd, a property management company affiliated with Global One that is based in New York City. Since its inception, Global One has enjoyed an exclusive relationship with Nelson Management Group. Accordingly, Global One is able to reduce overhead and seamlessly implement asset management decisions.
The principals take a very active role in managing each property owned by Global One. In addition to dedicating their full attention to properties under management, the Principals of Global One make significant personal financial commitments to each new acquisition.

Michael Gerstein is a founding partner of Global One Investments, LLC. Mr. Gerstein raises capital for acquisitions, acts as the primary liaison between investors and the properties, and oversees each stage of the investment process. Through negotiating each acquisition in conjunction with Mr. Nelson and reviewing each property on a monthly basis, Mr. Gerstein is able to provide investors transparency with respect to their investments. Through his clients, Mr. Gerstein has raised over $40 million in order to purchase $450 million of multifamily investment properties.
Mr. Gerstein holds a BSBA from Boston University in Accounting. Before forming Global One in 1996, he worked for 10 years as a managing partner in Jerold D. Gerstein & Associates, where he handled firm management responsibilities, provided tax consulting services, and placed equity into alternative investments on behalf of clients. Mr. Gerstein is currently a member of the Board of Trustees for the Camden Area Health Education Center.
Robert Nelson is a founding partner of Global One Investments, LLC and is also the founder of Nelson Management Group, Ltd. Mr. Nelson oversees the day-to-day management functions, including the asset management of over $520 million worth of multifamily product owned and operated by the firm and its affiliates. During his 30-year career, Mr. Nelson has owned and managed more than 8,000 units of multifamily housing. He also has widespread experience in real estate development and ground-up construction.
Mr. Nelson holds a BSBA from Boston University. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Rent Stabilization Association (RSA) and the New York State Association for Affordable Housing (NYSAFAH), two highly influential New York City-based landlord groups. He holds the designation Registered Apartment Manager (RAM) from the National Association of Home Builders. Mr. Nelson’s hands-on commitment to the communities in which he works has earned him extensive industry recognition. In particular he was voted “2005 Developer of the Year” by the Association of Builders and Owners of Greater New York (ABO).
As CFO, Mr. Zomback is responsible for the accounting and finance functions at Nelson Management Group. He has over thirty years’ experience in the financial services industry and has spent the past ten years focused on the real estate sector. Mr. Zomback has extensive capital markets experience, having executed over $4 billion in credit facilities, leading to significant corporate growth, and establishing an unencumbered debt strategy and investment-grade rating. In addition, Jeff has executed more than $1 billion in US and European bond issuances while managing company risk exposure, formulating FX hedging policies yielding major exposure reduction and mark-to-market gains exceeding $90 million. He has also cultivated strong relationships with global banking centers as well as numerous mid-tier and regional banks.
Prior to joining Nelson Management Group, Mr. Zomback spent over eight years working at W. P. Carey and Paramount Group, with a primary focus on commercial “Trophy A” office space, mixed-use properties and single-tenant triple-net assets. Before this, he worked for twenty years in various capacities at AIG, including directing global treasury operations in the US, Europe and Asia. His career began with a role in public accounting at Ernst & Young.
Mr. Zomback is a licensed certified public accountant with an MBA in corporate finance from Fordham University and a BS in accounting from Binghamton University. When he’s not working, Mr. Zomback enjoys golf, biking, fantasy football, The New York Times crossword puzzles and family BBQ’s.
Mr. Saghir leads the investment program for the firm. His role includes sourcing, underwriting, and closing new investment opportunities, while also assisting with the implementation of the asset management strategies of existing portfolio assets. Prior to Global One, Mr. Saghir held a variety of real estate investment roles, including in the investment banking group at Macquarie Capital, where he focused on providing mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and strategic advisory services to real estate clients across multiple asset classes. Mr. Saghir is a CFA® charterholder and a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts. He has an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business and an undergraduate degree from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.

Mr. Hassanien is an Acquisitions and Asset Management Analyst at Global One Investments, responsible for assisting in the asset management of existing and future assets, and spearheading the monthly, quarterly, and annual investor reporting. His role includes oversight of capital projects, researching and modeling energy-efficient initiatives, and assisting in the underwriting of new investment opportunities. Prior to Global One, Mr. Hassanien worked at an acquisition firm sourcing and underwriting potential investments, specifically in the retail and office sector. Mr. Hassanien graduated from the State University of New York at Oswego Business School in May of 2021 with a major in Business Administration.
